Program meetings are held monthly, September-May on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Ames Public Library. The Big Bluestem Audubon Society membership meeting starts at 6:30 pm, with the invited speaker starting at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome.
The Ames Public Library (515 Douglas) is centrally located, has access to public transportation, and has room for new attendees who happen upon our meeting by chance. Meetings are usually held in the Farwell Brown auditorium. Go left as you enter the library to enter the large auditorium on the first floor. Programs are limited to 35-45 minutes in order that questions can be answered, treats provided and clean-up completed by 8:30 PM. The library requires that all programs be done one half hour before closing.
